In a recent interview, Sakamoto talked a little about the game, saying that while it may seem similar to Animal Crossing, the game isn’t really influenced by the franchise. As for a console version of the game, it’s not out of the question, but it’s something the development team will have to discuss now that a Western localization is becoming available.

According to Sakamoto, development on the series took two years, while the localization process for the game took another year.
